Malmesbury Scout Group is open to boys and girls from the age of 6 to 18 +. The group is active and growing and depends on volunteers to run the group and lead the sections. The group consists of the following sections; Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Each section runs a varied and wide ranging programme throughout the year.
Every section at Malmesbury is very popular and as demand outstrips spaces, waiting lists exist for each section. You can apply for a place on the waiting list here. Please note that priority for spaces is given to children of section leaders, and members of the committee, then to existing members of the scout group then to children outside of the group.
Malmesbury Scout Group meets at its headquarters St. Mary's Hall on the Triangle, next to The Three Cups. The hall is available to hire for private functions. The hall also has a number of available periods for regular meetings, so if you have a club, society or are thinking of starting up a class or group then get in touch. The hall operates on a non-profit basis and is able to give substantial discounts to clubs just starting up, and those providing a facility to the town which would otherwise not be commercially viable.
Scouts only exists due to the work of the volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers to help put either on the committee, maintenance of the scout hall / equipment or to help lead the sections. Please contact us if you feel that you are able to offer a few hours to help keeping Scouts going in Malmesbury.
